Our Pastor - Rev. Hannah Pratt Sledge

Rev. Hannah was born and raised in Western, PA near Grove City. She was raised in a small United Methodist Church in a town called Harrisville. Hannah felt called to ministry at 16 years old and this led her to attend Messiah University. While at Messiah, Hannah majored in Christian Ministries and minored in music. Upon graduating from Messiah, Hannah attended Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. While in seminary, Hannah served as a pastor at Oakdale Church, a large United Methodist Church outside of D.C.

Also, while in seminary, Hannah started dating her now husband Rev. Kristopher Sledge. Hannah and Kris got married after seminary and served two different small churches in the Chambersburg area as a clergy couple. In 2019, they moved to Harrisburg for Kris to start The Journey Church where he continues to serve. Hannah served as a consultant to Camp Hill UMC, an adjunct Bible professor at Messiah University, and coached pastors and churches around Fresh Expressions of Church for the Susquehanna Conference. She was also appointed as the associate pastor in 2020 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Hannah and Kris had their first child, Lydia Lou, on April 11, 2021 .

Kris was born and raised in Selinsgrove and is looking forward to connecting with you outside of Sunday mornings. Hannah and Kris love to travel, kayak, read, watch movies, and play with Lydia. Hannah enjoys singing and running. Hannah is passionate about sharing God’s love with others as an invitation into the abundant life Jesus speaks of in John 10:10. She is so excited to meet all of you and see how God leads us into the future together!
